.: James 1:27 :.

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."

This verse has always been one of my favorites. It seems to be such a clear explaination of God's will for His followers; a real gift in a world that is so full of uncertainty. My excitement about this command was renewed on Sunday in church when an announcement was made that the Invisible Children Movement is coming to all the universities in Spokane, including EWU. I am hoping to get more involved... if you haven't heard of this organization before, here's their "mission" part of the site:

The screening at EWU is on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 12:00 pm in Showalter Hall... so anyone who's interested should go!! The website has more info also on what happens at the screenings. I'm stoked. Hope to see y'all there!! :o)
